Crocodile Charges a Herd of Elephants

A peaceful afternoon at the river suddenly turned tense when a large crocodile moved toward a herd of elephants gathered at the water's edge. The elephants had been drinking calmly when the reptile suddenly surged forward, causing several youngsters to retreat behind the adults.

The biggest elephants immediately reacted, spreading their ears and swinging their trunks toward the crocodile. One protective adult stepped between the predator and the calves, making it clear that getting any closer would be a serious mistake.

The crocodile eventually backed away into deeper water, while the elephants remained together until the danger had disappeared. The encounter was a powerful reminder of how fiercely elephant families protect their youngest members.
