Rescue Team Removes Deadly Snare From Elephant

Wildlife patrols located an elephant with a wire snare tightly wrapped around one of its legs. The painful injury had already caused significant swelling and made walking extremely difficult.

Veterinarians safely sedated the elephant before carefully removing the wire and cleaning the deep wound. Antibiotics and long-term monitoring were essential for recovery.

Months later, camera traps captured the same elephant walking comfortably with its herd, offering hope that timely intervention can save lives.
